Submission process

The abstract submission for Single Photon Workshop 2026 will be handled through an online submission portal, Easy Chair, which will be opened on Monday 1st February.

Submitting authors are requested to have an account.

If you do not have an EasyChair account, click on "sign up for an account" and complete the registration form. Please keep a record of your account details as you will need them to log into the SPW 2026 abstract submission system.

Should you require any assistance or have a query about online submission, please contact abstract@spw2026.org

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON THE SUBMISSION PROCESS

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English using the provided template.
  • For each abstract submitted a corresponding author must be indicated.
  • It is not required to register before submitting an abstract, but all the accepted presenting authors must (please see registration page).
  • All abstracts must be received by the submission deadline – 15th March 2026 - to be considered for review and potential inclusion in the workshop program.

Submission details required

The online abstract submission is a simple step-by-step process and will ask you to input the following details:

  • Title of the abstract
  • Presentation type – Oral or Poster, Poster only
  • Topic - chosen from the theme list above.
  • Co-Authors - Name, affiliation, and email of co-author(s)

Please note that one (or two) of the co-authors must be indicated as corresponding and presenting author by selecting the relevant boxes.

Download the template from the upper right angle of the submission page to create your paper and then save it as a PDF file to upload to the system. Only PDF files will be accepted for upload. Diagrams and tables may be included in the abstract, as well as references.

Abstracts will not be edited and will be added to the conference website. Please ensure that all grammar and spelling is correct.

How to submit your abstract

To submit an abstract, you must follow these steps:

  • log in at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=spw2026 and enter with your Easy Chair credentials;
  • click "New Submission" at the top of the page;
  • enter author information in the provided fields and tick the "Corresponding Author" box for all authors who wish to receive e-mail correspondences or notifications;
  • complete the “Abstract” field with a text to be used for the workshop program,
  • upload the file, called “Paper”, that will undergo the reviewing process;
  • enter at least three keywords;
  • if you would rather your paper be considered for an oral or for a poster presentation, indicate this using the drop-down menu under ‘Type of presentation’;
  • once you have provided all the information and uploaded your paper, click "Submit": you will be taken to a summary page of your submission - this is your confirmation that it has been saved.

Upon successful submission of the abstract, a confirmation email will be sent to the Corresponding Author. If you have not received a confirmation email, please check your SPAM folder before contacting us.

  • The abstract must not have been presented at another conference.
  • If accepted the presenting author must register to attend the conference and will be liable for the applicable full conference delegate fee.
  • Last date for submission is 15th March 2026.
  • Ideally the corresponding author should be the presenting author and attend the conference. If this is not possible, the replacement presenter must be a named author on the original submission.
  • As the number of oral and poster presentation slots are limited, the judging panel may suggest an abstract is accepted in the alternative presentation format.
  • If chosen to present a poster or oral paper at conference, the authors will be required to make their presentation available for publishing on the Single Photon Workshop website.
  • The presenting author (as indicated on the submission) will be notified of the decision of the judging panel on or near 15th April 2026.
